PKPS started the chicken meat Breeding Project with a joint venture PKPS Livestock Farm Sdn. Bhd. and Charoen Pokphand (CP) from Thailand yang terletak di  Ladang PKPS Jelutong Jati, Selangor. Ladang ini dibina berdasarkan sistem tertutup dan sistem penyejatan. Sistem tertutup menggunakan teknologi ‘bio-secure’ bagi mengelakkan dimasuki penyakit  yang berpotensi, manakala Sistem Penyejatan akan mengekalkan suhu yang bersesuaian di dalam setiap unit rumah ayam.

This project is equipped with 4 units of chicken houses, each unit of chicken houses can accommodate 50,000 chickens. For this first Meat Breeding Project can accommodate 200,000 chickens at one time or 1.2 miliion chickens a year.

Looking at the potential available, and the transfer of technology obtained from this first Meat Breeding Project, PKPS is taking a step further, expanding this activity in Ulu Tinggi, Kuala Selangor District. Two (2) phases involving 8 units of chicken houses were built. For phase 1 which is 4 units of chicken houses, is a joint venture of Charoen Pokphand and Phase 2 will be undertaken by PKPS directly.
